On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of international summer courses for engraving art the Centre organized a symposium KAUS who have been invited 26 artists from among the course participants themselves and who have realized, divided into three sessions, some art books collective engraved on "the double meaning of the engraver"
Each page engraved was inspired by a verb normally used by the engraver in his work that actually has a double meaning (exemple biting, protect, respond, record, replace ...)
Participants from different parts of Italy and the world (United States, Albania, Spain, Poland, Luxembourg and Lithuania) were given a matrix of zinc, linoleum or wood of size 33 x 49 cm with which they have made own work recorded with various printmaking techniques such as etching, drypoint, the mezzotint, aquatint, woodcut on plywood and linoleum.
The books are closed format 33 x 25 cm and were bound by hand, with the cover covered with engraved and printed texts with metal characters. Each book has been printed in 12 copies, one for each participant in the single session.
The high quality of the participants has produced artist's books of great prestige that will complete the production of art books of the center Kaus
